Norwegian Developer Conference 2009

An entry about conferences Publication date 21. November 2008 08:33

What do people like Robert C. Martin, Michael Feathers, Mary Poppendieck, Roy Osherove, Michele Leroux Bustamente, Kevlin Henney and Jonas Follesø have in common?

They’re all speakers at the Norwegian Developer Conference 2009!

The dust has barely settled from the awesome NDC2008 this past summer, when the plans for next years conference is unveiled. NDC2009 will be held at the brand new Telenor Arena in Oslo on the 17th to 19th of June. That’s right: the conference will be a full day longer this time around; more speakers, more developers, more beer…

The complete agenda for the event hasn’t been finished yet, and apparently (even) more big names are likely to be in attendance. So far there’s suspiciously few Microsofties on the speakers list – it will be interesting to see what organizer Rune Grothaug and his conspirators have up their sleeves…

I’ll be keeping an eye out for any news as it leaks out - in the meantime, go check out the NDC 2009 website.

Welcome!

My name is Fredrik Kalseth, and this is my blog - thanks for visiting! I am fortunate enough to work with what I love for a living, and this blog is essentially the biproduct of that.

I work as a senior consultant for Capgemini, and am also an active participant in the Norwegian .NET community, as an avid attendee but also as a speaker (most recently at NNUG and MSDN Live).

As a developer, I have a wide circle of interest. My primary passion is for agile, test-driven development, with focus on best practices and clean code. That said, I also love to work on the frontend, especially with web development.

On Twitter? My handle is fkalseth. On LinkedIn? I`m there too.

NDC 2010

The conference to attend this summer happens June 16th-18th in Oslo, Norway. Are you going? Be sure to catch my talk on AOP while you're there!
